‘Company’ means Orbit Leading Projects (also known as Orbit Events Management) to whom Muscat Municipality have leased out the place under a contractual agreement.
‘The Venue’ shall be the City Amphitheatre, Qurm
‘The Customer’ means the Company, Institution, Organization or Individual on whose behalf this legally binding Contract is made.
‘Charges’ means the amounts payable by the Customer for the hire of the venue, consumables and Audio Visual/Media services as set out in the Agreement between the Customer and Company
‘The Event’ means the performance, concert, show, function, conference or special occasion, the date of which has been agreed by the parties and at which Venue is engaged to provide the Services
‘The Caterer’ is any caterer who is contracted by Company to provide catering services at the Venue.
‘Consumables’ means the food & beverages supplied at the Event.
‘Hire Period’ means the period of time to hire the venue as agreed between Company and the Customer.
‘Package’ means the combined services supplied by Company to the Customer.
1. VENUE HIRE
Applications for venue hire will be accepted only if Company considers the nature of the function appropriate. The Company reserves the right to refuse a booking.
The Customer will ensure that the Event will not be conducted and that its guests will not behave in a way that will or may constitute a breach of the law or cause a nuisance. In particular (but without limitation) the Customer shall ensure that there is no betting or gaming.
Customer must provide the following government approval copies as soon as they are obtained. Duch approvals may be from (but not limited to) Ministry of Heritage & Culture; ROP; Muscat Municipality and /or any other ministry whose approval is a MUST for the said event
Company reserves the right to exclude or eject any persons from the Event, whom it reasonably considers to be objectionable (including any person engaged by the Customer to provide entertainment or perform any other duties at the Event). The Customer will be liable for any liability arising thereby and shall indemnify Company accordingly.
At the end of the Hire Period the Customer shall remove from the venue anything, which the Customer has brought into the venue for the purposes of or in connection with the Event and shall ensure that all rooms (including washrooms), Open Air Seating area& common pathway from main gate to auditorium (including the grass area) are clean, undamaged and free from rubbish.
If, in the opinion of Company, the Customer has failed to comply with clause 1(d) above, the Company may, in place of the Customer but at the Customer’s expense, do all that is necessary to comply with that clause.
Company reserves the right to charge RO 100 per day for storage for items left over 24 hours within the Venue. Company reserves the right to dispose accordingly of any items left over after 72 hours and charge RO 500 for the disposal.
VIP Seating room in lower ground are reserved for limited use only. These would be made available only if dignitaries from Royal family, H.E.s, and of similar standing are expected to come to the event. However, prior notification is essential.
Dressing / changing rooms and adjoining washrooms for men & women are marked. These must be used only as designated. Common area behind the stage must be used with discretion.
Empty cartons / flight cases and other bulky packing material must be stacked neatly in the designated area outside the auditorium, away from pathways. After the event, these must be cleared on the same day.
Upto 15 cars will be allowed parking inside the main gate. However, the vehicle numbers must be provided atleast 3 days in advance.
Customer must share the schedule of setup in advance to avoid delay in access to the venue.
Keys to the Dressing rooms / VIP Room etc will be given only to person designated by Customer. Customer will be responsible for handover of the given keys at the end of the event to designated Company staff. Failure to do so as a result of loss of keys or any other reason may result in charges to be paid by Customer, as deemed appropriate by Company.
